AS-IS Wood Walls

Every piece of AS-IS wood walls is handcrafted to capture the look and feel of naturally distressed wood. The product itself is made from kiln dried sugar pine wood with a painted finish on it.

Because of the high-grade coating formulation used, AS-IS wood boards are easily cleaned with a duster or a slightly-damped wash cloth.

Do not use anything rough, chemicals or anything acidic to clean the boards. This could damage the surface and the wood.

Some tougher debris / stains can be eliminated with water and a light brushing with a soft bristle brush. Always trial a small area first to ensure the procedure is working, and to check for colour fastness.

Sealers:

Sealers are not necessary on AS-IS wood walls, unless the boards are being utilized where not recommended. If a sealer is desired for your particular use, make sure it is compatible with untreated wood and water based paints. Sealers may darken the colour of the wood, and usually add different degrees of shine as well.

Wall Paper

To keep your wallpaper looking fresh and new, use these cleaning tips below every 2 – 3 weeks.

Use a dry cloth to wipe off any dust.
Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe off any dirt stains, or smudges around light switches

Wiping direction should be from bottom to top to protect the baseboard and prevent streaking. Always wipe in the direction of vertical seams.

Finish one section at a time. Let it dry, and then work on the next section. Keep water from soaking into the seams.

Remove stains as soon as possible!

Do not use abrasive cleaners or materials as they may ruin the wallpaper surface such as active solvent based cleaning agents, chemical based ingredients, lacquer thinners, nail polish remover or similar.

Avoid products that contain bleach as they will damage the wallpaper print and finish.

Do not use hard scrubbers on the wallpapers as they may mar the surface. Do not over-wet the wallpaper when cleaning.

Do not pick at the wallpaper, especially in the corners and seams!
